Petra Bjørkhaug has been Cathedral organist at Nidaros Cathedral since 2007. She has studied piano, organ, singing and composition, and is educated as a pedagog and organist at Trøndelag Music Conservatory (NTNU). She holds from 2017 a master's degree in organ improvisation from the Norwegian Academy of Music. Bjørkhaug has been active in concert activities at home and abroad for several decades. She has collaborated with choirs and musicians in various genres, and regularly holds concerts in Nidaros Cathedral and elsewhere, where improvisation is an important part of the expression. She regularly composes music for choir, organ and other ensembles, and she has recently released two CD-recordings with her own compositions: Draumkvedet og Impressions. In 2021, the Nidaros Cathedral choir recorded a collection of her choral compositions, the CD MOR, released on the record label 2L. For the work «Sårmerkt», she received the Norwegian Music publishing prize 2025. Tickets + at the door Information with subject to change
