Brita Sjöberg comes from Dalarna in Sweden. In 2005 she received a master's degree in church music from the Piteå Academy of Music, where she studied organ. This was followed by studies in the soloist class at the Royal Danish Academy of Music, followed by a debut concert in St. Mark's Church, Copenhagen in 2008. Since 2010 she has lived in Norway and has held the position as Cathedral organist at Nidaros Cathedral since 2022. Sjöberg has given concerts around Scandinavia and the rest of Europe and has participated as an artist at several international music festivals. Sjöberg is artistic director for Trondheim in the ECHO network; European Cities of Historical Organs. Trondheim is one of 17 European cities in ECHO – European Cities of Historical Organs. ECHO aims to promote interest and knowledge about historical organs in Europe, and regularly arranges student exchanges between the cities, organ festivals and organ competitions for young organists. One of this year's guest organists; Fabrizio Guidi, is the winner of such a competition and has been named ECHO Young Organist of the Year for 2025.
