David Briggs is internationally renowned for his musicianship, virtuosity and ability to excite and engage audiences of all ages. He is ranked as one of the greatest organists of his generation. He is also one of the foremost organ transcribers of symphonic works, allowing listeners to experience the organ in a new way. Briggs frequently performs improvisations for silent films, including a number of Charlie Chaplin films. He is also a prolific composer, and his works range from full-scale oratorios to works for solo instruments. He has recorded two DVDs and 37 CDs. He is currently Artist-in-Residence at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in New York City. Organ mass in Nidaros Cathedral With music we can create sacred spaces for our life experiences.
