Work breakdown structure
BIGCCS consists of five Sub-Programmes; CO
2
Capture, CO
2
Transport, CO
2
Storage, CO
2
Value Chains, and
Academia. Each Sub-Programme is broken down into different Tasks, which are shown in the figure on
the previous page.
As a response to recommendations from industry partners and the midway evaluation (carried out in
2013) the Sub-Programme on Storage was reorganized in 2014. The purpose of the reorganization was
to increase the focus on enhanced oil recovery (EOR) as an opportunity for making a business case in CO
2
storage. New tasks were added to accommodate the EOR focus while other tasks were continued outside
the Centre. The new tasks in SP Storage are: CO
2
monitoring technologies (Task 3.3), Reservoir contain-
ment (Task 3.4), Well integrity (Task 3.5) and Enabling large-scale CO
2
storage and EOR (Task 3.6).
Minor organizational changes were also done in the Capture Sub-Programme, where the alterations pri-
marily were done to account for the integration of new KPN projects added to the SP during the last years.
